Ingredients
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp cinnamon, ground
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg, ground
- ⅛ tsp cloves, ground
- ⅛ tsp low sodium salt
- ½ large apple, peeled and chopped
- 1 Tbsp walnuts, chopped
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 flax egg, mix 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons water and let sit for 5 minutes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, mix the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the almond milk, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and eggs.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, then fold in the chopped apples and nuts.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the bake is set.
- Serve warm.
