Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon, ground
  • tsp nutmeg, ground
  • tsp cloves, ground
  • tsp low sodium salt
  • ½ large apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 Tbsp walnuts, chopped
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 flax egg, mix 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed with 3 tablespoons water and let sit for 5 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the almond milk, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and eggs.
  • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, then fold in the chopped apples and nuts.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the bake is set.
  • Serve warm.
